Optical Laboratory Manager

Duties and responsibilities

· Maintain Quality control standards in crafting quality lenses for patient’s eye frames.

· Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with frame and lens selection, fitting, and adjustments.

· Collaborate with the laboratory to ensure timely and accurate processing of prescription orders.

· Manufacture eyewear in accordance with manufacturing regulations.

· Following strict safety procedures.

· Ability to interact with colleagues, as well as existing and prospective patients.

· Oversee and supervise the correct cleaning and ongoing maintenance of Optical Laboratory tools and equipment.

· Responsible for inventory and lab accounting and invoices

· Ordering and receiving Optical orders.

· Prepare reports of daily Laboratory use

· Assist with front desk if needed.

Requirements:

-Two years minimum working in an optical Laboratory

-Previous experience in retail sales or optical field is required.
- Knowledge of Optical Laboratory processes and procedures is preferred.
- Familiarity with Epic or other electronic medical records systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to optometry or ophthalmology is beneficial.
- Proven track record in retail management or sales leadership roles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers and staff.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $19.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
