Job Type: Full-time/Part-time (25 - 30 Hours Regular - 40 During Spring/Summer Break)

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Childcare Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the daily care and education of children, ensuring their well-being and development in a stimulating and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage with children in a variety of age groups.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Create a safe and secure environment for children, following health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians.
• Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
• Attend team training sessions and workshops to enhance professional development.
• Monitor and document children's progress, behavior, and any significant incidents when required.

Qualifications:

• Preference given to candidates with 1-2+ years of experience in childcare or a related field - Not a requirement, we will train applicants who are eager to enter the field!
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification preferred.
• Required:CPR C and First Aid certification (8 hour course).
• Required: 20 Hours course/program in a relatable subject/field towards childcare/children. (Free courses are available online, VIHA Requirement).
• Required: Must be able to work outside in varying weather conditions and be able to lift 20lbs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for working with children and contributing to their development.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude.
