Overhead Crane Service Technician

Job Summary

Acculift is currently recruiting for Service Technicians at our Woodstock Ontariolocation.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to determine cause for equipment malfunction, establish and perform necessary repairs
• Perform maintenance inspections on Overhead Cranes at customer facilities
• Assist on installations of Overhead Cranes and related equipment
• Responsible for completing all required daily paperwork accurately and completely

Requirements:

• Journeyman Red Seal Electrician certification or Level 4 minimum
• Ability to work varied hours, overtime and on-call if needed
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must be comfortable working at heights
• Must be safety oriented
• Must be comfortable operating equipment (forklift, scissor lift)
• Training: Fall Arrest, Scissor Lift, Forklift, Crane Operator Training (will be provided as needed)

Physical demands:

Must be able to work from ladders and various type lifts, wear fall protection equipment and be trained in proper use. Frequent lifting of parts weighing 10- 20 pounds and occasional lifting of parts weighing 30-50 pounds. Infrequent lifting of parts weighing over 50 pounds. Must be able to stand, walk and climb for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

Experience:

• Crane service: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (required)
• 309A or 442A Electrician certificate (required)
