Job Description:
Giant Tiger Wholesale is looking to hire a permanent Overnight Team Lead for our brand-new, fully automated 660,000 square foot distribution centre in Johnstown, ON! GTW can offer paid material handling equipment training on brand-new Raymond equipment, full medical/dental benefits, a store discount and 24/7 onsite gym access.

Highlights:
- Assist in overseeing all departments including: picking, shipping, forklift and receiving;
- Adjust staffing accordingly to workload in areas of responsibility;
- Monitor outbound loads to ensure on time load and delivery of goods;
- Train and develop staff on job processes to gain efficiency and accuracy in all areas;
- Implement processes efficiently;
- Hold daily team meetings;
- Maintain a healthy and positive work environment;
- Assist in slotting and inventory related tasks.
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma.
- Class G2 or higher driver’s licence
- Very good knowledge of distribution center’s system processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Excellent judgment and capable of making decisions.
- Self-motivated and the proven ability to motivate others.
- Use of e-mail, NT workstation (windows).
- Good working knowledge of AS400 Systems, Manhattan WMS, Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Minimum of 1 year Warehousing / distribution experience.
- Successful candidates must be in good standing for both performance and health & safety.
Assets:
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
- Post-secondary education.
- Any communication or leadership courses.
Assets
Additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management.
