Role Overview
The Parts Cleaner is responsible for cleaning parts and weldments in preparation for the application of powder paint. As well as duties on the Paint Line during paint days.
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Welding Supervisor, the duties and responsibilities of the Parts Cleaner include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Receives instructions, and work orders from your supervisor;
· Operates indicated tools as required (e.g.: Hand chisel/scraper, hand grinder, various scouring pads etc.) to clean parts;
· Ensures that work order quantities are correct, and properly fill out work orders as required
· Work in a safety conscious manner;
· Masks and hangs parts in preparation for paint;
· Applies powder paint utilizing a manual powder paint gun
Other
· Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Effort Requirements
· Strong English reading and writing skills;
· Ability to understand basic math equations (i.e.: add, multiply, fractions, etc.);
· Strong attention to detail;
· Understands shop drawings and mechanical principles to set-up and run machines.
Minimum Requirements
· High School Diploma is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $20.45-$21.80 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
