Career Opportunity and Primary Roles / Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a Paralegal / Contract Assistant to work closely with the Director of Administration and handle the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Contract management
- Assist in preparing, reviewing and organizing legal agreements and documentation under the supervision of the Director of Administration
- Verify and compare iterations of contracts, maintain files and oversee the execution and archiving of finalized agreements
- Stay abreast of legal and regulatory developments
- Proactively assist in ensuring that the organization complies with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Actively seek and implement opportunities to streamline processes, enhance workflow efficiency and improve overall operational effectiveness of the contracts process
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of legal documents, contracts and related information
- Conduct research on legal matters
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure contractual obligations are met.
Required Competencies
- Graduate of a Paralegal/Legal Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of administrative support with Legal and Contract Assistance
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and French (oral and written)
- Ability to multi-task and be resourceful
- Experience in translation - an asset
- Detail oriented
- Discretion is a must
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident
Miscellaneous Requirements
- Work can be done remotely.
- For employees based in Montreal, the work model is hybrid (at least one day at the office).
- The position might require travel to visit customers (in North America)
Knowledge of English is required to communicate and work with customers outside the province of Quebec. / La connaissance de l'anglais est requise pour communiquer et travailler avec nos clients situés à l'extérieur de la province de Québec.
