We are currently seeking a motivated, reliable, and outgoing team player to join our Parking team, located at Purdy's Wharf in downtown Halifax.

WORK SCHEDULE:

The successful applicant will have a regular schedule of 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM Monday to Friday. Additional hours are occasionally required as operations dictate, and can fall on weekends/evenings/holidays.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

You will be responsible for completing general cleaning, maintenance, and customer service duties in our multi-level parkade at Prudy's Wharf. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Changing garbage's
• Picking up litter
• Sweeping & Mopping
• Wiping down touch points
• Dusting
• Cleaning all parking equipment and signage
• Inspecting the parking area to verify that equipment and lighting function properly, that cars circulate without problems, that there is a sufficient quantity of supplies necessary to the proper functioning of the parking lot
• Completing minor equipment repairs as required, and minimizing any downtime to parking operation
• Providing assistance in person and remotely to customers in the use of the automated parking equipment, recognizing and respecting the individual needs of each customer.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• High level of interpersonal skills, including poise and diplomacy.
• Good communication skills, both verbally and written.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to customer service.
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools for making repairs.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Employment is conditional on successfully passing a criminal record check.

Salary: From $18.27 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
