The District of Tofino is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the casual position of Parks Labourer.

Reporting to Labour Foreperson, under the direct supervision of the Public Works Superintendent, the Parks Labourer is responsible for a variety of semi-skilled and unskilled, parks, gardens and trails work, tasks and duties. These duties are generally physical in nature and require the use of simple tools and equipment.

HOURS OF WORK

This is a casual relief position. Specific hours and days of work will be scheduled on an as needed basis, located within the District of Tofino, between the hours of 6:00am and 7:00pm, Monday through Friday. Schedules will be discussed and completed in advance.

The hourly wage for this position is $28.98, plus an additional 15.2% in lieu of benefits, vacation and statutory holidays. This position is subject to a probationary period during which time the wage will be $26.02. This is a union position and is subject to the terms and conditions of the collective agreement between CUPE Local 118 and the District of Tofino.

HOUSING

Please note we do not have any staff housing at this time.
