Job description

The Town of Wolfville is inviting applications for a full-time Parks Labourer & Solid Waste Technician with the Parks and Recreation Department. This position is part of the Service Employees International Union Local 2 and is eligible to participate in the Town’s Employee Benefits plan.

Reporting to the Parks Lead Hand, the successful candidate must be highly motivated and capable of independent work as well as working within a team environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for waste removal from Town waste stations and public property, land and hardscaping, general maintenance on all Town maintained green spaces, parks and trails, and other maintenance and event set-up duties as required.

The position requires 40 hours per week, which include Saturday or Sunday. A valid class 5 driver’s license is required.
