ABOUT THE POSITION

The Town of Fox Creek is looking for enthusiastic and energetic candidates for our Summer Staff position. Ideal candidates will enjoy working outdoors, and soaking up all versions of summer weather offered in Fox Creek. We are seeking applicants to join our team who are passionate about the beautification of our town, and take pride in seeing the results of their hard work enjoyed by the residents in our community.

Summer staff will perform general maintenance duties, assisting with construction projects, cleaning the parks, grounds and building, operating small grass cutting equipment, other light vehicles and other duties as assigned.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Will be required to adhere to processes and policies in support of Municipal goals and legislative requirements.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

• Be responsible and accountable for general maintenance, cleanup duties and safety checks associated with various Town of Fox Creek departments
• Operate light vehicles, large mowers, tractors, small grass cutting/hedge trimming machinery, power tools, and other specialized seasonal maintenance equipment as assigned
• Work cooperatively with the management team and support other departments
• Perform manual labour requiring moderate physical exertion, and maintain mental alertness to ensure safety of yourself and others
• Maintain mental alertness to ensure safety of yourself and others
• Other duties as assigned.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Minimum Requirements

• Class 5 Driver’s License
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
• A clean Provincial Driver Abstract Report
• A general aptitude to performing general labour tasks
• Willing to work in all types of weather and outdoor working conditions

• Term Contract - up to 40 hours/week
• Flexible scheduling based on operational requirements.
• Evenings and weekends when necessary.

WHAT WILL YOU BE PAID?

• $ 21.10 - $ 21.63/hour - Placement within this range will depend on experience
