Job description

The Parks/Cemeteries Summer Student is responsible for completing maintenance tasks in Municipal parks and facilities or cemeteries within the operating season including: grass cutting (cutting, trimming and lawn care); flower gardens (planting, trimming and weeding); garbage/recycling collection; special event assistance; equipment operation, general repairs and maintenance; maintenance of trails, sport fields, and cemetery.

Compensation and Work Term

$16.80 per hour
May to August

Qualifications

  • Valid and satisfactory G or G2 Ontario drivers licence is preferred.
  • May be required to work evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to perform physical labour outdoors for long periods of time.
  • Grounds maintenance equipment operation preferred.
