Part-Time Barista Position

The Purple Penguin Cafe located in the Toronto neighbourhood of Leslieville is looking for talented people to join our small team! Located on the corner of Queen Street East and Logan Avenue, the cafe is serving artisan sandwiches, fresh baked good, gourmet coffees, fresh squeezed juice and more.

We are looking for extremely punctual and professional high-energy people with a positive attitude who are passionate about good food and good coffee.

Job responsibilities include:

*making and mixing of various coffee drinks, teas, shakes and juices in a fast a maticulous fashion

* 1 year or more experience in making espresso-based coffees with a manual espresso machine/barista experience

* stocking the bar and fridges

*making sure all working stations and bar are clean and organized as possible at all times

*helping customers with take-out process and taking payment

*prepping, making and serving various desserts

*being knowledgable about coffee roasting an asset

• Must have to Weekend availability

Experience:

• 1+year barista experience on a manual espresso machine preferred (required)
