Family living in the Kerrisdale/Dunbar area seeking a part-time care provider for a three year old and one year old.

Looking for a care provider to care for two children and manage the home Wednesday to Friday. We require someone who is reliable, punctual, organized, creative, fun, trustworthy, and patient. Must connect well with small children and have strong communication skills. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada for more than 20 hours per week. This role is a 6-month contract with the very likely possibility of extension.

Working days are Wednesday to Friday. Must be able to work 7:30am-4:30pm. Start date is April 3rd.

If selected, successful candidates will be required to produce:

• criminal reference check
• first aid certification
• Covid vaccination record

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• feeding children
• toileting and diaper changing
• dressing (clothes)
• putting child down to nap
• playing
• educational activities
• daily time outside
• visits to local parks, the library, West Side Family Place, play gym, community center
• managing tantrums / providing emotional support
• safety while out in the neighbourhood
• picking up child from preschool (20 minute walk)
• packing lunch for child
• cleaning up after the children
• organizing toys
• laundry
• meal preparation

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Contract length: 6 months

Salary: $25.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 27 per week

Schedule:

• No weekends

Experience:

• nannying/caregiving: 2 years (preferred)
