Part time front of house staff

Elephant Garden Creamery is an artisanal ice cream shop seeking Part-Time Front of House Staff to serve scoops and other goodies to our guests. As a small business in the Grandview-Woodland area, we are currently building a fun and community oriented team that has a solid appreciation for amazing ice cream flavours. Front of House Staff responsibilities and duties:

• Describe the flavour lineup knowingly with enthusiasm
• Provide positive, attentive and engaging customer service
• Able to consistently serve all menu items to meet our quality and presentation standards
• Promote sustainability by following recycling and composting procedures
• Operate our POS and be able to handle cash or credit/debit transactions
• Maintain a clean and organized area at all times
• Perform opening and closing duties
• At times must be able to work comfortably alone with minimal supervision
• Other duties as assigned by management

Preferred candidates has the following qualifications:

• Food service or Barista (latte art) experience is an asset
• Food Safe certified
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments
• Friendly, self motivated personality with strong problem solving skills and great communication skills
• Loves ice cream and always prepared to explain the depth of our artisan flavours
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays

We are open from 12:00pm to 10:30pm from Wednesday to Monday and closed on Tuesdays. During summer period, we will be open from 11:30am to 10:30pm.
