Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable budtender who can use their extensive cannabis product knowledge to guide guests to the appropriate recreational products while providing impeccable customer service. To be a successful budtender you will provide customers with great service and quality products while maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable store environment.
The responsibilities of our budtenders include greeting and welcoming customers, informing the manager of customer complaints, and operational issues and sharing firsthand experiences of cannabis products to address customer concerns. Budtenders also should be well aware of the cannabis laws to ensure AGCO regulations are being followed. Having your CannSell certificate upon applying is an asset but not required, however, upon hiring applicants must purchase and complete the course before the official start date.
Responsibilities
- Check customers’ ID to verify age; demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Guide and direct customers in their purchase; advise them on cannabis products based on their preferences, needs, and budget.
- Answer customer questions and concerns; ensure that the guests are well-informed and leave the store satisfied with their purchases.
- Meet and exceed sales goals; ensure that inventory is stocked, and in proper location.
- Completing daily checklists such as opening duties, cleaning, weekly tasks, and so on.
- Assist with opening/closing of the store and other tasks that may be assigned.
- Helping unload and unbox deliveries, ensuring products are in their proper location.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Must have Cannsell before hiring. / Be willing to obtain Cannsell upon hiring.
- Minimum of 19 years of age.
- Must have a clean criminal background check.
- Retail experience (minimum of 1 year).
- Some cannabis knowledge is required. / In-depth knowledge of cannabis products is an asset.
- Past management experience (ie. supervisor, keyholder) is an asset.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to work well with others. / Be a team player.
- Effective and appropriate communication skills.
- Shift flexibility is an asset.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
