We are looking for a Part-Time Retail Associate, Seasonal (May - Sep) to join our growing team.
Description of Role:
- The Store Associate plays a significant role in the day-to-day operation of the Waterloo Brewing Beer store.
- Key responsibility is to provide the highest quality of customer service to all Waterloo Brewing customers.
- Conduct all functions related to billing, packaging, answering customer inquiries, stocking, and inventory management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for greeting and interacting with customers; providing superior customer service
- Provide product knowledge to assist in the sale of Waterloo products
- Handle cash/debit and credit card transactions
- Monitor store for loss prevention purposes
- Maintain the appearance of the store including restocking shelves and fridge, repackaging products, general cleaning, merchandising, etc.
- Answer customer inquiries in person, by e-mail, and over the phone
- Always ensure responsible service of alcohol under Smart Serve guidelines
- Ensure weekly inventory counts are complete and accurate including breakage
- Work a flexible schedule as required, including evenings, weekends, and holiday hours
- Attend scheduled staff meetings when needed

Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum High School diploma
- Must be Smart Serve Certified, or willing to get one within 30 days from hire date (fee is out of pocket)
- Ability to work alone and as a team player
- Computer knowledge (MS Outlook email, MS Word, Excel, etc.)
- Experience in retail and/or customer service required
- Must be comfortable with some heavy lifting up to 50lbs
- Flexibility in this position is key! - We are looking for someone able to work days, some evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must have steel-toed work boots or willing to purchase them
