We are seeking a Parts Consultant who can thrive in this fast-paced, professional environment. This role will involve ordering, receiving, maintaining, and selling inventory, playing a crucial part in our daily operations. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining strong client relationships, providing expert advice on automotive parts, and fostering collaboration between departments. Your expertise and dedication will be key to our ongoing success at Audi St. John’s and within our fully Master Certified Parts and Accessories Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining good relationships with internal and external clients to encourage continued business.
  • Providing quotes and part availability information to using specific software programs.
  • Upselling related parts that are needed for quoted jobs.
  • Ordering parts by following set processes and stock orders as required.
  • Communicates with internal and external clients regarding parts availability issues, i.e., back orders, etc. and monitors daily for availability.
  • Communicates with internal and external clients when special order parts become available or arrive.
  • Ensure all part orders are billed accurately and in line with set processes and receiving payment for parts orders.
  • Maintain tight control over inventory to increase efficiency and eliminate customer delays.
  • Receiving and stocking all part orders while ensuring accuracy and condition of order.
  • Maintaining retail displays according to brand standards.
  • Coordinates with internal and external clients to fulfill part requests with minimal wait time; uses parts pre-picking when applicable.
  • Maintains a proper filing system for all paperwork corresponding to repair orders, special orders, and backorders, etc.
  • Working as part of a team and maintaining inter-department relationships.
  • Shifting priorities and goals as work demands or processes change.
  • Performing any other duties as required by management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (post secondary preferred, but not required).
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Technical knowledge an asset.
  • Knowledge of CDK DMS software is an asset.
  • Previous parts work or automotive work an asset.
  • Criminal Record Screening Certificate required.
  • Clear Driving Abstract required.
  • Applicants must be able to commute to or relocate to St. John's, NL.

  • Attention to Detail: Being meticulous in tasks such as taking messages accurately, scheduling appointments correctly, and ensuring all necessary information is recorded.
  • Multitasking: Managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously, such as answering phone calls, greeting clients, and handling Parts department tasks accurately and efficiently.

Physical Requirements:

  • Moving about the Parts department.
  • Using a computer to look up information and write up orders.
  • Standing, bending, stretching, lifting, reaching, and climbing.
  • Utilizing physical and manual dexterity.
  • Driving a vehicle.
  • Using equipment consistent with industry standards.

Safety Expectations:

  • Steel Toe-Safety Boots required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $20.40 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
