Westward Ford is looking to add a Service/Parts Advisor to our team. The customer is priority #1 at Westward Ford, so the focus is on customer satisfaction through superior product knowledge and excellence in all business practices.
Reporting to the Parts/Service Manager, as the Advisor you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service to all customers (internal and retail) in support of their automotive Parts/Service needs. You will support the Parts/Service Department in tracking, monitoring and stocking parts inventory. As well dealing with customers coming in for their Service appointments.
Primary Responsibilities
- Track incoming and outgoing parts for the dealership, including looking up and charging out parts.
- Order parts for customers, both internal (body shop & service) and retail.
- Remain in constant contact with all internal departments regarding the receipt of special order parts
- Collect parts order payments and ensure the appropriate paperwork is completed in order for accurate account payment and invoicing.
- Obtain customer and vehicle information, review vehicle repair history and verify any needs
- Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer, using detailed descriptions
- Determine required maintenance to ensure the safety of customer’s vehicles
- Promote the sales of labor, parts, and accessories.
- Answering/making phone calls, booking in customers, creating work orders
- Ensure that the standards for customer service are always upheld
- Complete Ford Training Courses
Qualifications
- Experience in an automotive parts role is preferred.
- Experience with ordering, tracking and stocking is preferred.
- Forward-facing customer service experience.
- Experience working with inventory management systems.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact and provide effective service to all customers, both internal and retail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
