Duties:
- Provide excellent customer service by recommending parts and completing orders.
- Insert customer orders into computerized system and issue invoices.
- Assist with warranty claims and occasional assembly, repair or service of heavy-duty truck parts.
- Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices and other shipping documents manually or by computer
- Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or by computer, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions
- Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods
- Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas
- Maintain internal, manual or computerized record-keeping systems
- Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
- May require lifting and handling of heavy truck parts.
Requirements:
- Engineering undergraduate/graduate degree is an asset.
- Critical thinking, dynamic personality, strong work ethics and a desire to learn and grow.
- Previous experience in the heavy-duty truck parts, hydraulics or automotive industry is an asset
- A team player with a strong sense of commitment to customer.
- Ability to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent computer skills.
