Parts/Warehouse Assistant

Duties:

• Provide excellent customer service by recommending parts and completing orders.
• Insert customer orders into computerized system and issue invoices.
• Assist with warranty claims and occasional assembly, repair or service of heavy-duty truck parts.
• Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices and other shipping documents manually or by computer
• Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or by computer, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions
• Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods
• Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas
• Maintain internal, manual or computerized record-keeping systems
• Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
• May require lifting and handling of heavy truck parts.

Requirements:

• Engineering undergraduate/graduate degree is an asset.
• Critical thinking, dynamic personality, strong work ethics and a desire to learn and grow.
• Previous experience in the heavy-duty truck parts, hydraulics or automotive industry is an asset
• A team player with a strong sense of commitment to customer.
• Ability to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent computer skills.

Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
