Passenger Operations Planner - Job Posting
Career Opportunity:
This dynamic, multi-faceted position for Passenger Operations Planner will work with Charter Coordinators to integrate charter flight requests into North Star's flight schedule. Consideration will be given to aircraft and crew availability, destinations requested. The Operations Planner will ensure passenger manifests are received, ground handling and fuel arranged and other operational requirements as needed. The Planner will assist with day to day Operations as time allows.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure confirmed charters are efficiently integrated to forecasted aircraft schedule.
- Review charters to ensure notes are accurate, fuel, ground handling, catering, deicing, customs and other operational requirements are arranged as required.
- Review PC12 and DH8 pilot duty times to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and adjust schedules as required.
- Adjust aircraft schedules to accommodate planned and unplanned maintenance
- Adjust aircraft schedules to accommodate crew constraints
- Assist charter quoting/inquiries as required
- Assist flight watch as required
- Assist IROP recovery as required
- Providing exceptional customer service when handling customer calls and inquiries
- Upholding North Star’s Customer Service Standards to both internal and external customers
- Any other related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- Exceptional customer service skills .
- Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
- Proficient computer skills and experience using Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams and Email is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail .
- Effective problem solver.
- Excellent organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
- Ability to communicate in Oji-Cree or Ojibway is an asset.
- Previous Aviation experience is an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Post secondary in aviation related field an asset.
Working conditions
- Monday to Friday 8 am to 5pm – possibly subject to change with needs of the business.
