Clayman Pharmacy is a family-owned pharmacy founded in Montreal in 1933. We opened our Winnipeg location in 2003 to service local and international patients. We are a close-knit team focused on providing our patients with the highest degree of customer service in support of their healthcare needs.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Head of Patient Engagement, and under the supervision of a pharmacist, the Patient Care Coordinator’s primary role is to ensure patient personal information and personal health information is accurate, current, properly reviewed, and triaged for the pharmacy to dispense the medication in a timely and efficient manner. The role will involve contacting patients, physician’s offices, and coordinating with office staff as needed. As well, the role is responsible for related administrative activities and managing inventory. The role is expected to constantly exercise extraordinary professional judgment and ethical behaviour.

  • 20-25 hours per week.
  • Between 9:00 am to 3:00 pm 4 days/week from Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

The Patient Care Coordinator has the responsibility, and accountability to:

  • Review personal information and personal health information provided by patients.
  • Create and maintain patient profiles, including the capturing and transcription of prescription information.
  • Review prescriptions and non-medical information (e.g. billing, shipping) to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Enter information into our native web-based application and Kroll Pharmacy Software.
  • Maintain pharmacy inventory, place and receive drug orders under supervision of the pharmacist.
  • Package medication and health care products in accordance with operating procedures
  • Interact with patients and health care providers to obtain any missing information.
  • Conduct data analysis on inventory, and patient prescriptions to ensure sufficient supply is available to meet demand.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality according to the Personal Health Information Act.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous retail pharmacy experience is an asset.
  • Kroll software experience is an asset.
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel and Teams) and Adobe is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong data analysis capabilities
  • A strong "get it done" mindset"
  • Able to work independently and have experience multitasking.
  • Pharmacy Technician experience is an asset but not required.
  • Professional attitude and ability to communicate well with customers and co-workers.
  • Due to this position’s sensitive nature, the successful candidate must complete a Criminal Record Check.
