Duties and Responsibilities:
● Operate asphalt paver to lay hot mix asphalt on roads, parking lots, and other surfaces
● Ensure the paver is operating at optimal efficiency by performing routine maintenance and checks
● Communicate with other crew members to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the paving process
● Monitor and maintain the quality of the finished product to meet project specifications
● Understand and follow safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others
● Complete required paperwork, including daily equipment inspection reports and job-specific reports
Qualifications and Experience:
● Minimum 2 years of experience operating asphalt pavers
● Knowledge of paving operations, materials, and equipment
● Excellent communication skills to work effectively in a team environment
● Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and solve problems
● Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting and carrying heavy materials
● Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, depending on project requirements
● Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Work Environment and Safety Requirements:
● Physical ability to operate equipment under temperature extremes and for extended hours of time. Normal shift is 8-10 hours.
● May be exposed to vehicular traffic and must follow all TCP procedures.
● Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional condition.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $33.00-$36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
