Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Payroll Analyst to work for our client, a well-established, leading Oil and Gas company in Calgary, AB. As a Payroll Analyst, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with legislative requirements.
- Location: Calgary, AB
- Shifts: Monday to Friday | 8 hours/day

- Input, verify, and process full-cycle payroll for Canadian and U.S. employees, including retirees.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting and analysis for various departments and management.
- Handle annual vacation deferral and liability maintenance.
- Handle the maintenance and reporting of various Time Off Bank policies.
- Support set up of new hires in ADP Workforce Now system and GNA payroll for US employees.
- Support the merit and bonus pay administration and any other company-administered payments
- Ensure appropriate use and calculation of pay rules for various employee groups.
- Close timecards in compliance with company policy and reconcile and balance timekeeping records.
- Maintain schedules, job family assignment for cost allocation, and pay class profiles in ADP and GNA.
- Analyze set up of time and attendance and pay codes to ensure accuracy in pay.
- Perform all aspects of year-end processing, which includes monthly master data to annual register reconciliation to ensure statutory remittances are balanced for Hourly, Salary and Retiree payroll.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries with respect to payroll and timekeeping; educate employees and supervisors with processes and payroll related policies.
- Run payroll orientation for students twice a year, participate in new hire and leader orientation.
- Review offer letters for the Talent team to ensure accuracy.
- Peer audit data entry to ensure payroll controls, review payroll in absence of Team Lead.
- Support planning of various payroll related communication material on company intranet.
- Assist Finance team with payroll GL issues and budget analysts with any GL inquiries.
- Ensure confidentiality of employee data and maintain employee electronic filing.
- Current Payroll Compliance Professional Certification (Canadian Payroll Association) is mandatory.
- Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or Human Resources (Minimum community college diploma).
- Minimum 5 years of Canadian Payroll experience.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex problems.
- Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
