Payroll Assistant

Pro-Western Mechanical works across western Canada. We provide complete mechanical services, specializing in multi-dwelling residential: condos, apartments, hotels and light industrial/commercial.

Duties:

• Entering Payroll Data
• Processing Payroll
• Detailed timecard review
• Employee Benefits
• Other duties as required.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Proven ability to quickly learn new computer programs and database tools.
• Understanding/proficient in Microsoft & Google Suite
• Strong aptitude for systems and data management
• Strong communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to persistently follow up on outstanding items.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a very fast paced environment.
• Proven track record of responsiveness and meeting deadlines
• Typing speed: Minimum of 40 or more WPM (typing test to validate)

Qualifications/Education:

• Minimum 1 year’s experience in payroll.
• Accounting Certification
• Proficient in Microsoft applications; experience in data entry

Job Type: Full-time, 1 year contract, Temporary with an opportunity to become Permanent.

Wage: $18-$22 per hour *Wage will be based on education and experience*

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday – This role’s hours will drop to 30 hours per week during nonpeak business periods as required.

Salary: $16.31-$29.73 per hour
