My name is Romane, recruitment and business development advisor at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in the recruitment of finance professions. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on the South Shore of Montreal. Our team of finance experts speak your language and operate in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll professions.
I am looking for a Payroll Technician for my client in the public sector. This is a position for a period of 2 years in hybrid mode in Chateauguay. This is a 32.5 hour shift.

MAIN TASKS :
➢ Participates in the production of payroll, in compliance with collective agreements, administrative policies and directives, relevant laws and regulations and sees their application, in accordance with the instructions and guidelines issued by its management;
➢ Verifies timesheets entered manually and validates the accuracy of those entered by employees;
➢ Validates and corrects, where applicable, information deemed non-compliant with the timesheets;
➢ Produce employment records within the required deadlines in collaboration with the Human Resources Department;
➢ Participates in the production and issuance of data related to deductions at source, withholdings from salaries and employer contributions, in the preparation of reports and slips required by governments and makes their payments;
➢ Performs various calculations related to payroll operations (salary adjustments, banks, retroactivity, end of employment, etc.)
➢ Performs the various calculations for CNESST, disability and maternity/paternity or parental leave files, enters everything into the payroll software and transmits it for validation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
➢ Certificate of college studies in accounting combined with two (2) years of relevant experience in complete payroll processing and production operations or any other combination of training and experience directly related to the position;
➢ Hold the Payroll Compliance Specialist (SCP) accreditation, an asset;
➢ Very good knowledge of the Laws and regulations governing payroll;
➢ Good knowledge of the office tools necessary for the role (Outlook, Word,
Excel);
➢ Teamwork skills;
➢ Good communication skills, oral and written
