Splash Water Parks is looking for positive, energetic, people who love summer as much as we do to join our team for the 2024 season.

Splash Water Parks is an inflatable Water Park company providing Okanagan communities a unique and exciting experience through the use of its Wibit sports equipment.

General Information:

A position with Splash Water Parks requires working outdoors in an open water setting, interacting with guests and assisting with the overall operation of our Water Park attraction.

If you are selected to join our team you will be provided specific training tailored to Water Park operations and water safety. You will along gain access to our reimbursement program for related courses such as Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross and NLS certifications.

Throughout our operating season you will receive additional on-site training, site familiarization and opportunities to show us your skills through practice scenarios. In addition to the knowledge of water safety and emergency response you will gain, we feel it is important to stay connected as a team which is why each location hosts bi-weekly staff events outside of work. This is a great way to stay involved as a team member and have some fun.

When on shift a Water Park Attendant is responsible for the general safety and care of customers, equipment and co-workers. To ensure you remain affective in your position a rotation between on-water and on-shore will be maintained with all staff members. This provides you with a dynamic work environment while retaining safety and ability to provide affective care.

Responsibilities

As a Water Park Attendant you will be responsible for the well-being of customers, equipment maintenance and general operations. These responsibilities can be better defined by separating them by position ‘On-Shore’ and ‘On-Water’

On-Shore:

· Proactively addressing customers’ needs and safety

· Meeting and greeting guests with a positive and friendly attitude

· Providing orientation, lifejacket fitting and other processing requirements

· General cleaning and organization of work space and surrounding area

· Responding to emergency situations and providing proper care

On-Water:

· Enforcing rules and regulations

· Ensuring the safety of our guests and the safety of those within the surrounding area

· General cleaning and maintenance of Water Park equipment

· Responding to emergency situations and providing proper care

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong observational skills to proactively identify guest needs and ensure safety guidelines are being followed
  • Strong verbal communication skills (able to positively engage with guests, team members, and management)
  • Valid Standard First Aid Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid National Lifeguard Certification(s)
  • Previous Lifeguarding Experience

Full time and part time positions are available at each location!

Contract length: 2 months

Salary: $17.50-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Licence/Certification:

  • Standard First-Aid Level C (preferred)

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 2024-06-27
