Pen Checker-Cow/calf

Ballco Feeders, considered a front runner in the Alberta feedlot industry, located 20 minutes southeast of High River, has an immediate opening for a full time Pen Checker-Cow/calf

DUTIES INCLUDE :

• Check the health and welfare of the cattle
• Pulling and treating cattle as per the health protocols
• Assist with receiving and shipping cattle
• Record treatment of cattle on the computer program
• Clean and maintain facilities, pens, and equipment daily.
• Clean and maintain water bowls regularly.
• Help during calving season.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Previous Feedlot & Pen Riding experience
• Some experience operating equipment
• Must have own horses and tack. Horse allowance provided.
• Ability to operate farm equipment an asset.
• Previous experience with cow/calf
