About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced People Development and Training Specialist to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to design, develop, and implement comprehensive training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees. The People Development and Training Specialist will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within our organization.

Your Responsibilities

•    Lead the implementation of Workday Succession and Development Plans
•    Partnering with the HR Manager with Talent Review activities.
•    Design, develop and implement role specific job descriptions including all training.
•    Develop and maintain all training matrices and related documentation.
•    Develop and maintain all records for Temporary Employees on Workday
•    Play a key role in the execution of projects related to the development of people and culture, targeting employee training, experience, and engagement.
•    Provide analysis and trends as it relates to employee data specifically on training completion, recruitment, turnover, and engagement.
•    Produce data reports on turnover, demographics, learning and development activities.
•    Design & development performance appraisals, issue and track all PAs.
•    All aspects of recruitment including writing the job postings, gathering resumes, interviewing candidates, mark testing, reference checks, background checks and all follow up communication with successful and unsuccessful candidates.
•    Perform exit interviews.
•    Support the evolution and execution of Onboarding and Orientation of new employees.
•    Attend job fairs with universities, colleges, high schools to promote the company and/or our apprenticeship program
•    Collaborating with other Human Resources members on special projects.
•    Coordinate and support culture initiatives as required including Employee Appreciation activities.
•    Responsible for timely completion of various specific assignments/projects subject to individual focus
•    Responsible for applicable QEMS policies, procedures and work instructions
•    Abide by and promote all handbook/divisional/legislative/corporate policies and procedures including the Magna Code of Conduct.
•    Perform other Human Resources duties as required.

•    Office environment with presence on the shop floor
•    Day shift, flex hours may be required to accommodate assigned work groups or other service needs.
