Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance and support to individuals in need of care, including seniors and patients in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or home care settings.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation.
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Help with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Monitor and report changes in patients' physical and mental health to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols.
- Knowledge of patient care techniques and best practices.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and assist with mobility needs.
- Understanding of the unique needs of seniors or individuals requiring assisted living or hospice care.
