Personal Care Attendant

Woman with disability requires bathroom assistance and peri care in the afternoons with availability weekdays as well as weekends (1hr/afternoon). Occasional evening assistance with physio exercises and bedtime routine on weekdays as well as weekends (1hr/evening). Rotating weekend morning assistance with getting out of bed/showering/dressing (2hr/morning). Additional work would include filling shifts and help with showering, washing, peri care and bathroom assistance, dressing, transfer, range of motion exercises, etc.

Flexible schedule. Opportunity for permanent, part-time/casual rotation.

Location: Weber St and Lincoln Rd area, Waterloo

Hours: approximately 6-8 hours per week available. Emergency and overnight hours if required (contingency hours). Casual coverage as needed. Personal Support Worker experience is preferred, but training will be provided (self-directed). Minimum 6 month commitment.

Paid by cheque only (no cash).

Service dog-friendly.

Compensation: $22.00 per hour plus $3.00 short shift premium for one hour shifts ($25/hr).

Reliability and dependability required.

Police record check/vulnerable sector check required.

This is a part-time, casual job. Female applicants preferred.
