Personal Support Worker (Psw)

```Job Summary:```
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will provide assistance and care to individuals in need, including seniors, and individuals with special needs. Your role will involve various duties to ensure the well-being and comfort of those under your care.

```Duties:```
- Provide direct support and care to individuals in accordance with their specific needs
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Help with meal preparation and ensure dietary requirements are met
- Engage in activities that promote social interaction and emotional well-being
- Assist with medication management and administration as required
- Monitor and document any changes in behavior or health status
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement care plansProvide support and assistance to individuals in their daily activities
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical or mental health

Qualifications :
- Previous experience in dementia care, home care, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities is preferred
- Knowledge of senior care principles and practices
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures
- Ability to provide compassionate and person -centered care
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals

- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals of all ages
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques is an asset
- Familiarity with nursing home or assisted living facility procedures is a plus
- Must be patient, compassionate, and empathetic towards others
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Education:

Secondary school Diploma

Post secondary school Diploma as PSW

License/Certification:

• First Aid Certification/CPR level C

Ability to Commute:

• Newfoundland A2A, Grand falls Windsor

Ability to Relocate:

• Windsor, Newfoundland : Relocate before starting work (preferred)

Work Location: In person

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $23.50-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
