Grove Park Home is a 143 bed, not for profit and charitable long-term care home located in Barrie Ontario. Included on campus is a boutique retirement property and an adult day program. Established in 1968, the home is well respected in the community and within the healthcare sector. Reporting to the Director of Care, this position will be responsible for performing the physical and emotional needs necessary to effectively provide and maintain a high quality of care for residents, in a manner that is consistent with Grove Park Home’s Mission, Vision and Values.

Qualifications:

• Secondary School Graduation Diploma
• Graduation from an accredited Personal Support Worker Program
• Three years’ related experience working in a long-term care facility (preferred)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge and experience in care planning systems and documentation (preferred)
• Excellent interpersonal skills including counseling, conflict management, and problem solving
• Additional Certificates/Diplomas in activation techniques, gerontology, First Aid and/or CPR will be considered an asset.

Salary: $24.55-$26.57 per hour
