Personal Support Worker (Psw)

Duties:
- Provide assistance and support to individuals in need of care
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals
- Help individuals with mobility and transfers
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals

Skills:
- Experience in providing care and support to individuals in a variety of settings, such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care
- Knowledge of dementia care and experience working with individuals with dementia
- Strong patient care skills, including the ability to assess needs, provide assistance, and monitor well-being
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures and the ability to accurately administer medications
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate and empathetic nature, with the ability to build rapport with individuals in need of care
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from healthcare professionals

Experience:

• Homecare: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)
• PSW (preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Simcoe, ON: Relocate before starting work (required)
