We are seeking a full-time PSW to join our team at Birmingham Retirement Community. If you are a dedicated, compassionate individual looking to make a difference and provide quality care to our seniors, this is the job for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain resident records and required documentation in accordance with policies and procedures and legislative requirements.
- Administer medications as prescribed and observe and report changes in condition to Director of Wellness.
- Provide guidance to Guest Attendants to ensure that care assignments are completed.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment for residents utilizing infection control principles.
- Respond to resident call bells and door alarms promptly and provide courteous service.
- Complete all aspects of resident care as outlined in the plan of care and care assignment.
- Complete narcotic count at beginning and end of shift.
- Monitor and record resident weights and vitals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications:
- Successful completion of Personal Support Worker certificate program.
- Successful completion of Medication Administration training program provided on site and successful ongoing quarterly evaluation of competencies.
- Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
- Current First Aid & CPR training.
- Previous experience with medication administration an asset but not required. Experience working with seniors and knowledge of the aging process.

Salary: $19.17-$21.44 per hour
