**Job Description:**

As a Pet Groomer at Schomberg Veterinary Services, you will be vital in ensuring our clients' pets' well-being and grooming needs. Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Performing grooming services, such as bathing, brushing, clipping, and nail trimming, according to client specifications and breed standards.

- Handling pets with care and ensuring their safety and comfort throughout grooming.

- Assessing pets' coat and skin condition and recommending appropriate grooming services.

- Communicating effectively with pet owners to understand their preferences and address specific grooming requests.

- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the grooming area, equipment, and tools.

- Keeping detailed grooming records for each pet, including health concerns and specific grooming instructions.

- Adhering to clinic policies and procedures for animal care, safety, and customer service.

- Collaborating with veterinary staff to address any health or behaviour concerns related to grooming.

**Requirements:**

- High School Diploma or equivalent.

- Formal training or certification in pet grooming is preferred.

- Proven experience as a Pet Groomer with the ability to handle and groom various animals.

- Knowledge of grooming techniques, breed-specific cuts, and pet behaviour.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and handle animals of various sizes.

- Strong attention to detail and a passion for ensuring the well-being of pets.

Salary: $16.55-$30.00 per hour
