Part Time Multi-Site Pharmacy Technician

Schedule: Part Time Assignment
Location: Kincardine, Chesley, Walkerton
Applications are currently being accepted for a Part Time Multi-Site Pharmacy Technician for the Kincardine site of the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, with shifts also assigned to the Chesley and Walkerton sites.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Current registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists or eligibility
- Unit dose distribution experience
- Previous hospital experience an asset
- Familiarity with pharmacy automation (e.g. PacMed, McKesson, Omnicell) preferred
- Experience with Cerner systems an asset
- Strong computer skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work both independently and also as an effective team member
- Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work all shifts and provide coverage at others sites as required
- Knowledge of and adherence to SBGHC Core Values (Teamwork, Empathy, Accountability, Mutual Respect, Safety)
- Advocates and supports a culture of patient safety and demonstrates an understanding of how the department service and assigned responsibilities contribute to overall patient safety at SBGHC through patient safety knowledge, skills and attitudes
- Recent satisfactory performance with demonstrated excellence in attendance required
- Knowledge of and adherence to Occupational Health & Safety and infection control principles
- Liability Insurance Required
- Must have current valid drivers’ licence and vehicle available for use or transportation arrangements appropriately available as assignment dictates.
