Position Summary

We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Rehabilitation Services department.
Reporting to the Manager of Rehabilitation Services, the Physiotherapist Is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, educating, and evaluating patient response to physiotherapy treatment. The Physiotherapist Is part of an interdisciplinary team and assists with the hospital and departmental goals and objectives including continuing quality improvement activities.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Sun-Thurs, Days - 08:30 to 12:30, 08:00 to 16:52. Position is Sunday - Thursday (Sun 8:30-12:30; Mon-Thurs 8:00-16:52)
Prince Rupert Regional Hospital is a 24-bed facility that sees an average of 22,000 ER visits per year. It is a fully equipped facility with Medical Imaging, Laboratory, ICU, ER and Maternity. Services include:
• Acute Care

• Obstetrics
• Gynecology
Additional services such as Diabetes Education, Healthy Heart and Rehabilitation, Podiatry, Orthopedics, and other visiting specialists.
Prince Rupert is a marine-based port city with one-of-a-kind wilderness exploration and wildlife viewing experiences on northwest BC's Pacific Coast. Qualfications
• Licensed by the College of Physiotherapists of BC.
Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to promote safe, competent, patient care.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the health care team.
• Ability to communicate and maintain good public relations with family and friends of patients.
• Ability to recognize and intervene appropriately in an emergency situation.
• Physical ability to perform duties of the position.
