TheTechnical Analyst will be responsible for managing and supporting Information Technologies on our touring show. Your objective will be to make sure all the Information Technologies Cirque du Soleil use for their day-to-day operations works flawlessly. You will also represent information technology on tourreporting to the Head of IT for Touring Shows, Productions and User Experience.

  • Touring Shows Division (TSD) – international Big Top and Arena touring shows. You must be available and authorized to work internationally full time (365 days).
  • Resident Shows Division (RSD) – resident shows in Las Vegas and Orlando
  • Affiliate Shows Division (ASD) – Blue Man Group (BMG), VStar, Cirque Dreams and The Works Entertainment, with both resident and arena touring options
  • Events & Experience (E&E) – sporadic events across the globe
  • Studio Teams in Montreal along with Costume and Production Workshops in Montreal and Las Vegas
Main tasks:
  • Manage and process all IT requests for the tour including hardware, account management and all other requests needed for the tour operations;
  • Provide on-site IT support to the whole tour during tour operation hours;
  • Support and manage the servers and applications on tour, the network equipment, printers on tour and the point-of-sale systems;
  • Manage the corporate cell phones on tour
  • Plan and configure local internet connectivity with local internet providers
  • Ensure that corporate policies regarding Information Technologies and security are applied.
  • Participate and must be physically capable of completing setups and teardowns in various weather conditions, including moving road cases and preparing equipment for shipping;
  • Act as liaison between International Headquarters, the Touring Shows Division and the tour.
  • Create and maintain documentation for city reports and solutions provided.
What we look for in candidates :
  • College-level diploma in IT with two years of experience as an IT support technician OR five years’ relevant experience. Experience in a touring environment is an assert;
  • Marked interest in customer service, with “show must go on mentality”;
  • Flexibility and patience with clients, tolerance for high-stress situations and good team spirit; natural aptitude to be the “go to person in a team”;
  • Absolute proficiency supporting end-user issue on Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365 (Office 2016), SharePoint & Teams;
  • Hardware support experience (servers, laptops, printers and peripherals)
  • Hands on experience making and running network cabling (copper and fiber)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft server environments, and components (AD Account Management, SCCM)
  • Knowledge of networking bases including security appliance (firewall/router), switches and access points (network administration, VLAN and port modification, SSID, DHCP, TCP/IP….) Knowledge in Cisco Meraki devices is an asset.
  • Practical knowledge in machine virtualization;
  • Knowledge of ITSM ticketing platform, knowledge of Service-Now is an asset.
  • Apple iOS and OSX experience is an asset;
  • POS experience is an asset;
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken; Other languages are an asset
  • Solid communication skills;
  • Ability to quickly adapt to unexpected situations, variable schedules and tight deadlines;
  • Ability to relocate or travel 100% of time, depending on role;
  • Ability to provide appropriate work authorization;
  • At least 18 years of age.
