What you get to do:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from start to finish
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with safety regulations
  • Review and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and schematics
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve any construction issues
  • Provide input on the overall project plan and construction schedule providing input on project site setup, project logistics, construction methods, sequencing, and resources requirements for the execution of the project plan.
  • Assist in the development and identification of project specific risks and collaborate in the development of response strategies for identified risks.
  • Key collaborator in the development of site-specific safety plan and emergency response plan, and responsible for the control and monitoring of these plans in the field.
  • Responsible to review project drawings and specifications to identify areas of risk or conflict.
  • Contribute to the development of the project quality plan
  • Ensure correct cost coding for material and equipment purchasing.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns or question

What we’re looking for:

  • Valid Alberta Journeyperson Piping Certificate (Red Seal if out-of-province)
  • Ten years’ experience/knowledge in a oil and gas industry
  • 5 years of experience in leadership capacity
  • Previous superintendent piping construction experience
  • Leadership for Excellence Certificate
  • Standard First Aid
  • Successful completion of pre-employment weld testing if required
  • Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • CSTS-2020 Ticket
  • WHMIS 2015 Ticket
  • Valid H2S Alive Ticket (Energy Safety Canada version preferred)
  • Valid Fall Protection Ticket (Energy Safety Canada version preferred)
  • Valid Elevated Work Platforms (EWP) Ticket (Energy Safety Canada version preferred)
  • Valid Confined Space and Entry Monitoring Ticket (Energy Safety Canada version preferred)
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to client site
  • Physically capable of performing all tasks required
  • Invested in a safety-oriented work environment
