The Ministry of Highways has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a highly motivated, well-organized, and committed professional for the position of Planning Coordinator (Workforce Specialist) in the Strategic Planning and Budgeting Unit of the Corporate Services Branch.
Reporting to the Director of the Strategic Planning and Budgeting unit, and as a part of the planning and budgeting team, this position will be responsible for the development and delivery of documentation and associated activities for the ministry’s workforce plan. This includes analysis of internal and external labour metrics and the development and coordination of human resource strategies. As a member of the planning and budgeting team this position will also contribute to strategic and risk planning facilitation, documentation, metrics development, and business improvement activities undertaken throughout the ministry’s planning and reporting cycles.
Our ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to analyze human resource (workforce) metrics and trends. Skills in Microsoft Excel, the ability to prepare well written documents and facilitate group meetings are a requirement. As the successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to utilize and grow your knowledge and application of The Government of Saskatchewan Planning and Accountability Management System, strategic planning, change management, performance measurement, and risk management.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained through the completion of a Degree in Public or Business Administration, Human Resources, or related discipline, supplemented by public sector experience in the fields of human resource management, strategic or business planning.
