Planning and Reliability Leader

We’re looking for an experienced Planning & Reliability Leader to join our High Prairie division, located in High Prairie, Alberta. Our mill is undergoing an exciting major rebuild and modernization of its main production press and you will be a key member of the leadership team on this project.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Mechanical or Electrical Journeyperson ticket, or degree in wood sciences, engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years manufacturing experience, ideally including time as a Maintenance Planner and as a Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Possession of a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional, Maintenance Management Professional, Certified Associate in Project Management (CAMP), and/or Project Management Professional (PMP), an asset.
  • Knowledge of and experience in producing OSB.
  • Solid understanding of equipment operationand maintenance procedures.
  • Proven leadership abilities.
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safety.
  • Strong planning and organizing skills.

In this role you will:

  • Report to the Maintenance Manager and lead a team of Maintenance Planners and Reliability Engineers.
  • Maximize equipment availability to increase and maintain plant reliability.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Work effectively across departments to achieve results.
  • Develop, improve and implement maintenance and reliability processes.
  • Demonstrate and reinforce a strong focus on safety.
  • Ensure procedures are being followed.
