Location: Pikes Peak South Lloydminster, Saskatchewan S0M 3A0

Shift: Rotating, Full-time

Purpose of the role:


As a Plant and Boiler Operator, you will provide onsite and remote monitoring of plant operations, monitors systems, performs inspections, updates log books and informs management of any issues. You will be required to work on site at the Husky Pikes Peak South Thermal Plant near Lashburn, Saskatchewan.


Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • You have at least 2 years plant operations with boilers, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • You have minimum 4th Class Power Engineer’s Certificate.
  • You have First Aid certificate and H2S Alive certificate (company will provide training if needed).
  • You have a valid driver license and vehicle.

Bonus Skills and Qualifications:


  • You have general knowledge of process control.
  • You are familiar with basic instrumentations.

What success looks like in this role:


  • You will monitor boiler and gauges and records checks in logbook per TSASK Operator Attendance Requirements.
  • You will calibrate the demo plant gas analyzer.
  • You will perform visual and auditory inspection of plant.
  • You will perform start up, operation, shut down, and emergency stop of plant if required and safe to do so.
  • You will report to plant site on required schedule.
