This position requires the successful candidate to provide daily control of all water and wastewater treatment operations within our facility to ensure that residents have safe and clean water in accordance with Provincial and Municipal Legislation, policies and standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
While we prefer candidates who meet all the qualifications listed below, we are open to considering applicants who may not meet all criteria.
· Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s Licence is required
· Completion of Grade 12 is required
· Certification in Manitoba for the following classifications:
- Class II Water Treatment - Class II Wastewater Collection
- Class II Water Distribution - Class I Wastewater Treatment
· 5th class Power Engineering Certification
· Knowledge of relevant legislation and safety regulations
DUTIES
· Assists in operating and maintaining water treatment plant, sewage lagoon, water supply wells, lift stations and related equipment
· Assists in recording and maintaining statistical data from gauges and charts of: water volumes supplied, system pressures, pumping rates, inflows, outflows, temperature and chemical control utilizing manual and computer record keeping systems
· Be available for the on-call rotation within the department.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
· Excellent mechanical aptitude
· Proficient computer skills with applicable software (Microsoft Office)

Salary: $26.98-$27.54 per hour
