We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plant Production Manager to oversee our production operations and drive efficiency in our manufacturing processes at our Cornwallis Facility.
Your Role:
As the Plant Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our manufacturing operations to ensure the timely production of high-quality products. You will lead a team of production staff, implement process improvements, and maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
More specifically, you will:
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, including scheduling, production planning, and resource allocation.
- Lead and motivate a team of production supervisors and operators to meet production targets and quality standards.
- Develop and implement process improvements to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, engineering, quality control, and logistics, to resolve production issues and improve product quality.
- Monitor production metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain inventory levels and ensure the availability of materials and resources to support production schedules.
- Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and streamline processes.
Qualifications/Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field; or equivalent experience
- After hour and weekend support
- Proven experience in manufacturing management, with a minimum of [5] years in a leadership role.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve common goals.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and best practices, including lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a data-driven approach to process improvement.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software and ERP systems to manage production operations. (SAP a strong asset)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and drive results.
