POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Manager of Programming and Marketing and the Playground Supervisor, Playground
Leaders will be responsible for coordinating the daily activities planned by the Playground Supervisor and
supervising the participants of the Playground Program. The Playground Leaders will participate in the
Playground Program activities relating to the Spirit of the Rockies Festival and Canada Day events. These
positions are only available to individuals who are currently in school and who will be returning to secondary or
post-secondary education in September 2024.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
• Having attended the 2023/2024 school year full time with proof of returning to full time studies
in 2024/2025
LICENSES / CERTIFICATES
- Current first aid certification (Emergency First Aid or OFA Level 1, or Child’s Safe First Aid) PLUS
CPR ‘C’
EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience working with children between the ages of 5 and 11 years
- Knowledge of municipal recreation programs
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Attendance is required at the Spirit of the Rockies Festival and Canada Day activities
- Mandatory orientation and training sessions before the program commences
- Criminal Record Check
