Adecco is currently hiring for a temporary, full-time PLR Inspectorfor our client located in Ottawa, ON.

The PLR inspector conducts detailed product inspections, identifies non-conforming materials, and contributes to issue resolution. They collaborate with Engineering, manage inventory, and support various company tasks while ensuring adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts repetitive inspection of product/materials against known standards, procedures and checklists.

  • Identifies and segregates non-conforming material.

  • Reads assembly and process documentation.

  • Has working knowledge of the IPC 610 standard.

  • Contributes to identifying, articulating and escalating problems or issues for Technical Support or Engineering, and assists in gathering requested information and proof necessary to help establish the root cause of problems and determine corrective action.

  • Recognizes discrepancies in documentation or problems with quality, product, or process, and recommends changes.

  • Conducts product inspection, documenting as required, according to specific procedures.

  • Properly executes on inventory control, cycle counting, and computer transactions.

  • Works with Engineering to implement continuous improvement.

  • Records data on a daily basis.

  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and performance standards.

  • May conduct process audits in manufacturing.

  • Prepares components and/or wire.

  • Conducts cable and harness assembly.

  • Supports other company requirements when necessary.

  • Normally follows established procedures on routine work, and requires instructions only on new assignments.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada

  • Proficiency in conducting repetitive inspections of products/materials against established standards, procedures, and checklists.

  • Ability to identify and segregate non-conforming materials effectively.

  • Capability to read and comprehend assembly and process documentation accurately.

  • Working knowledge of the IPC 610 standard.

  • Capacity to identify, articulate, and escalate problems or issues to Technical Support or Engineering, while assisting in gathering necessary information for root cause analysis and corrective action.

  • Skill in recognizing discrepancies in documentation or quality/product/process problems and suggesting appropriate changes.

  • Experience in conducting product inspections according to specific procedures, with proper documentation.

  • Competence in executing inventory control, cycle counting, and computer transactions accurately.

  • Collaboration with Engineering to implement continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Ability to identify, read/interpret, and apply complex Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) or other instructions.

  • Proficiency in recording data on a daily basis.

  • Adherence to established safety procedures and performance standards in all work activities.

  • Experience in conducting process audits in manufacturing (preferred).

  • Proficiency in preparing components and/or wire, as well as conducting cable and harness assembly.

  • Willingness to support other company requirements when necessary.

  • Ability to follow established procedures for routine work, requiring instructions only for new assignments.
