The Policy Branch has a challenging and exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and collaborative individual to join their team as a Policy Analyst.
As part of the Intergovernmental Relations Unit, you will be part of a team that focuses on intergovernmental strategy and advancing Saskatchewans agricultural interests and priorities with other provinces, territories, and the federal government. You will conduct research and analysis to support policy development on emerging issues in the agriculture sector and coordinate the overall administration of the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (S-CAP) Agreement.
Our successful candidate will have knowledge of government structures, processes, responsibilities, and operations; policy development and analysis; as well as the current trends impacting the agriculture sector. Experience with intergovernmental working groups and negotiation would be an asset.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be acquired through an undergraduate degree in Agriculture, Economics or the Social Sciences (or an equivalent degree in a related field) with related experience.
