The Role:
Working in our Housekeeping Division, you will enjoy being part of a team that creates an atmosphere of exceeding guest expectations by creating “picture perfect” guest experiences throughout the resort. Pool Attendants are responsible for creating a great guest experience and welcoming service while maintaining a clean, comfortable and inviting environment. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the change rooms, the pool deck area and guest gym, as well as distribution and retrieval of towels. Pool Attendants are expected to know resort amenities and promptly answer any guest questions.
Job duties:
- Pick up dirty towels in change rooms, pool deck, gym and empty towel bins
- Collect more clean towels to keep pool area stocked at all times
- Check cleanliness of all Aquatic center bathrooms every 30 minutes
- Ensure cleanliness of hot tub deck area – squeegee deck area every hour minimal
- Clean water slides when time permits as per checklist.
- Empty the garbage and recycling and take to receiving at the end of every shift.
- Refill water dispensers
- Fill gym fridge with white hand towels
- Wipe down gym equipment with disinfectant if there is a lull in business, minimal 3 times/shift
- Wipe all surfaces with cleaner-includes tables, base boards and shelves
- Clean brass when time permits on doors
- Vacuum areas which has carpet covering.
- Clean any dirty windows-especially the foyer to the outside patio
- Ensure the facility is in the highest level of cleanliness and sanitary condition at all times and report any equipment deficiencies
- Maintain locker rooms and ensure all amenities are stocked
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies
- Other duties as assigned
- Poses exceptional guest service with attention to detail
- Dynamic, enthusiastic individual who thrives under pressure and is able to perform multiple functions
- Prior cleaning experience an asset
- 1st aid certified an asset
- Completion of Secondary school required
- Must be Health and Safety conscious dedicated to maintaining a safe work environment.
