Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise swimming and other pool-related activities
- Teach swimming lessons (if certified)
- Enforce pool rules and guidelines to ensure the safety of everyone
- Monitor the pool and deck for safety hazards
- Put away equipment when necessary
- Regularly assess the safety of the equipment and water
- Administer first-aid and life-saving actions in the event of an emergency
- Cashier duties: operating the cash register, documenting memberships
- General cleaning and upkeep of the facility
Education, Experience and Certification(s)
- 15 + years old
- Lifesaving Society Bronze Cross certification
- National Lifeguard-Pool certification
- Lifesaving Standard First Aid CPR C & AED training (preferred, not required)
- Lifesaving and Swim for Life Instructor (preferred, not required)
- Proof of certification and Criminal Record Check
- If you do not currently possess these certifications but have plans to do so, please still apply.
