Porter/Patient Transporter - Peel Memorial Centre

JOB OVERVIEW:

• Portering Services provide transportation for within site movement of:
• Patients
• Specimens and Samples
• Medical Records
• Portable equipment and furniture
• Clean and Soiled Linen
• General Waste and Bio-hazardous waste
• Must be available to work weekends as well as provide coverage during the week if necessary
• Must be available for day and evening shifts
• Must be available to work holidays

• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses
• Significant walking or other means of mobility
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $25.27 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 35 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• On call
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Healthcare: 1 year (preferred)
